Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum “communicate” differently now they are parents.
The ‘Step Up’ co-stars are parents to nine-month-old Everly. Dewan-Tatum says having a daughter has brought her closer to her husband because they have so many more decisions to make.
She said: “You become closer because you have to be in the same page to make decisions for the baby.
“It makes us communicate about things we never did before.”
The couple says while adore their baby, they also recognize it’s important for them to spend quality time alone, so they organize regular date nights.
Dewan-Tatum told Us Weekly magazine: “You have to have adult conversations for your own sanity. So we get a sitter, go out and have some fun. We’re very good about making time for that.”
Dewan-Tatum also says the youngster is very much daddy’s girl.
She has said: “He’s like a big kid. He plays with her, and she laughs harder and smiles bigger than she does with anyone. Dad comes around and it’s playtime. She’s like, ‘Mom, I’ll talk to you later!’” (Source)
Jenna Dewan Tatum said a vegan diet and daily workouts are responsible for her rapid 33-pound weight loss.
“The second I found out I was pregnant, I called [my trainer] Jen Johnson,” Dewan Tatum told Us March 5. “We found areas we wanted to target: arms and legs. I wanted to keep the muscles alive. Working out kept me sane. I would feel a burst of energy and all my hormones would regulate.”
Jenna lost 33 pounds just seven weeks after giving birth to daughter Everly in June 2013. Dewan Tatum, who has been a vegetarian since age 13, made a healthy diet a top priority during her pregnancy.
“I think a lot of women find out they’re pregnant and are like, ‘Let’s go crazy and eat ice cream every day!’” she said. “To me, it was, ‘I’m growing a human being, and I want to give this little soul the best nutrition I can.’”
Jenna’s daily vegan diet includes lots of fresh vegetables, oatmeal, green salads with chopped-up veggie burger and vegan enchiladas. She works out for 90 minutes, four days a week, with her trainer, and also does cardio dance workouts, hiking and strength-training on her own.
Special thanks to Rachel.
